At this difficult time don’t feel as if you are all alone...

Social media groups, telephone services and community initiatives have popped up with the joint aim to connect all you isolated folk.

Following are some activities that can keep you and your family occupied during the isolation period.

Hang out online

If your usual hang-out is the pub or if you just rock at quizzes you can join Goose's Quizzes every evening! The quiz streams live here at 7pm and you can download your answer sheet here.

Additionally, The Bristol Fringe Pub are live streaming their up and coming gigs live on Facebook and you can get all the information here.

Virtual tours
Is isolation giving you itchy feet, or maybe you have children at home that need entertaining? You can access a list of virtual tours and live webcams at virtualschoolactivities.com. You can access Atlanta Zoo panda cam, take a wander through Buckingham Palace, or take a walk across the Great Wall of China and much more!

Exercise

You either love it or hate it, but exercise is important to strengthen your immune system, improve your mental health, and make you feel better about yourself during this frightening time. You can find exercise videos on YouTube as per the below or come up with your own bespoke circuits using items at home – get creative!

Yoga

Pass the time quicker with some mindful yoga. It’s proven to lower stress, boost confidence, lower blood pressure, improve fitness and posture! You can get started with Yoga by Adriene here.

Local groups to connect with online

You can head to Covidmutualaid.org who provide a list of local social media groups formed by those of you with respiratory illness. These groups can be found on Facebook and WhatsApp and include offers of shopping help, free emergency home services and there are also many people who simply pick up the phone and chat with you.

Finally, a phone call

Don’t forget that one phone call goes a long way. Pick up the phone and check-in with friends, family or even employees.
